The best way to start looking for a home is to sit down with your realtor or mortgage broker, review your finances and determine what you you can afford. Few clients do this first, they generally want to go straight to the exciting part, looking for a home. There are some great tools on the internet to help with your search. Below are a couple to help you get started:

A better way to search is with ListingBook, it gives you some valuable information about properties that you won't find elsewhere (is the property a short sale? REO/Lender Owned? How many days has it been on the market?) With ListingBook you can save your searches, write notes, share your search, and send your list of favorites to your realtor.
A ListingBook Account must be created for you. If you send me an email with your search criteria (cities / areas, size home, amenities, etc.) I will create a ListingBook Account and email you a UserName and Password (You can also send me an email address for anyone else you would like to share the account with).
